Oleh has received his Masters Degree in Computer Science from Lviv Polytechnic University in 2009. Further, he continued his education at the Masters level on the Data Science program at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Ukrainian Catholic University and successfully accomplished all the selected courses as a free listener in 2019. While studying on this program, Oleh successfully completed two research projects: (i) “Agent adaptation to a changing environment” as a final project on the “Machine Learning” course; and (ii) “PCA to represent state spaces in the reinforcement learning domain” as a final project in the “Linear Algebra” course.
Throughout his early professional career (2007 – 2012), Oleh was pro-active in building his industrial competences and professional impact in the IT industry. He started as a Junior Engineer and advanced to Senior Engineer. He led teams of up to 15 people. Oleh was also performing as an architect on diverse development and consulting projects, including complex enterprise systems and high-load social networks or games.
Oleh is also a successful entrepreneur in IT sector. In 2012 – 2014 ha founded, kick-started and raised two start-up companies: (i) HappyScan, that offered a Mobile loyalty app; and (ii) EventInArea, whose business was offering a platform for location-based event discovery, featuring a complex data crawling/processing pipeline and an intelligent event recommendation engine.
From 2014 to present Oleh served as a Founder and CEO of TechMagic, a software development company based in Lviv that employs 300 individuals.
